Credos Partners, a comprehensive token securities (STO) solutions provider, has secured funding for the expansion of its global real-world asset (RWA) and token securities infrastructure by raising more than 2 billion won in a Pre-A round. The company has already secured more than 1.5 billion won under the leadership of K-Net Investment Partners and plans to complete the overall investment process next month with participation from existing shareholders.

Credos Partners is conducting a Pre-A round worth more than 2 billion won.

Targeting the “financial infrastructure of the future,” beyond simple issuance

Founded in 2022, Credos Partners is led by CEO Lee Ha-yan, who has more than 20 years of experience at a Hong Kong-based multinational bank, global consulting firms and IT companies. The company, which has been selected twice for the Financial Services Commission’s regulatory sandbox, provides an integrated digital platform covering the creation, trading, management and trust administration of a range of financial products.

Credos Partners defines token securities not as isolated products but as a core pillar of the financial infrastructure of the future. Rather than focusing narrowly on adopting blockchain technology or issuing securities, the company is concentrating on resolving inefficiencies in traditional financial markets that arise in the creation and subsequent operation of the underlying assets being tokenized.

Cross-border business linking Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Singapore takes shape

This business strategy is producing tangible results in domestic and overseas markets. The company signed a contract this year to build a supply chain finance platform with a Southeast Asian financial institution and is also pursuing a similar project with a related domestic institution by the end of the year.

Its tailored strategies for each overseas hub are also gaining momentum. In Singapore, the company is pursuing the sale of tokenized foreign-currency bond portfolios to high-net-worth individuals. In Hong Kong, it is preparing to launch a B2B token securities platform for professional investors through the establishment of a joint venture (JV). Through these efforts, the company plans to complete a comprehensive cross-border solution that creates both standardized and nonstandard assets across borders and manages them comprehensively on its integrated platform.

“Expertise in structured finance sets it apart” as company deploys investment ahead of market opening

Yoon Ju-han, an investment manager at K-Net Investment Partners, which led the round, said, “Once the token securities market is legally established, the key competitive advantage will shift beyond simple issuance platforms to infrastructure capable of sourcing a range of underlying assets and reliably handling financial institutions’ regulatory, settlement and ledger-management functions.”

He added, “Credos Partners stands out because it has a team with experience in structured finance and cross-border finance, as well as expertise in sourcing underlying assets, understanding financial institutions’ work processes, and operating management technologies based on blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).” He said the firm’s investment decision was driven by its potential to grow into a core infrastructure company in the token securities and real-world asset (RWA) markets, which are expected to fully take off next year.

Lee Ha-yan, CEO of Credos Partners, said, “Since the company’s early days, we have meticulously prepared digital and tokenization solutions for private equity investments.” She added, “We will actively use the funding secured this time to expand our domestic and overseas token securities and RWA businesses, using South Korea and Hong Kong as our bases.”

Synergies expected as financial authorities move toward institutionalizing token securities

Credos Partners’ moves align closely with the Financial Services Commission’s recently accelerating efforts to institutionalize token securities. The commission previously presented a policy direction at the third meeting of a public-private token securities consultative body, saying it would move beyond existing fractional investment and pursue the tokenization of standardized securities such as stocks, bonds and funds, based on advanced overseas examples. The related market is therefore expected to see explosive growth in the future.
